Default What is this?
What is pictured here? I have heard that they are defrosters for the canopy and have also heard they are explosive charges to bust open the canopy prior to the pilot going thru it during an ejection.

Correct on the second answer called a MDC (Miniature Detonating Cord)

Xair is correct, the charge will blow the canopy glass out when the ejection seat is activated..
