Boy I wish Dawn and Steven Ellzey would slaughter one of thier buffalo. Bison burgers are really good. They have about 13 so one won't be missed. Dawn has names for them all and even hand feeds a couple of them. So I think a snowball in hell has a better chance of survivng than the Ellzey's slaughtering one of the bison

Dawn,
Brainstorm !!!!!...... I think ya'll need to load up one of the Buffalo ( Your prize baby ) and bring it to the event !!!! We'll be the first to have a live Mascot !!!! Be kinda like Bevo at the U.T. games !!!!! That would be way cool !!!!!!... We would have to keep David Reid away from it so it wouldn't end up un the grill !!! I think it would be really neat !!!

Actually I said if anyone could ride Frank (he's only 2000+ pounds and a little over 6 foot tall) I would buy dinner.
And the Ambulance, Medical Helicopter, Hospital, and Funeral cost are not part of the deal!
Now as for Buffalo burgers the calves are not old enough to make much of a meal but they will
be in 2 years.

Is the fire truck gonna be standing by for burning jets, or for the Buffalo grilling?
ORIGINAL: bcovish
There will be a fire truck stationed at the field for the jet rally.

Someone wanted to know if electrics were welcome.
Now listen up, if it kinda looks like a jet, kinda smells like a jet or even if it kinda sounds like a jet, it's welcome. But don't even think about splashing some kero on a Ugly Stick and call it a jet, it ain't gonna fly.

RE: Greater Southwest Jet Rally-Waco TX
Hey Bob-O.. I live in Dallas and have a Habu-32 electric.. I was wondering if there is going to be anybody there that can sign off on the turbine waiver.. The way I understand it is you take the test with an airframe that doesn't have a turbine but is capable of 100 MPH plus.. I would for sure drive to Waco if this is the case.. I started with the first Habu and this one will definitely qualify with 6S 45 C batts.. Thanks in advance..

RE: Greater Southwest Jet Rally-Waco TX
Effective 4-09-2011 This was taken off the AMA web site
"The qualification flight shall be completed by the following method:
1) Fixed wing: The qualification flight will be performed with a turbine powered model weighing at least
12 pounds (dry). The applicant must first have flown the turbine powered model on a buddy box with
an experienced turbine pilot in control of the master transmitter. The experienced turbine pilot will
assist the applicant with as many flights as necessary until satisfied that the applicant is prepared for
the qualification flight after which the experienced turbine pilot will declare the applicant qualified to
perform the qualification flight flying solo without buddy box assistance. As part of the application
process, the applicant will demonstrate general knowledge of turbine operation/maintenance, such as
ECU configuration, fail-safe set-up, firefighting equipment, turbine lag management, etc"
The AMA have tightened up the rules on signing people off for the turbine waiver.
You are more than welcome to come to the Southwest and fly the Habu. It would give you a chance to check out turbine powered aircraft and ask a lot of questions. Depending on where you live in Dallas it is only a 2 hour drive to Waco. A day trip.

Thanks Bob.. Two hours is not that far.. I think I will come down anyway just to check it out.. I guess I need to go ahead and purchase a full on turbine powered plane and go from there..
