RE: Visiting Manaus - FigueiraJet 2011
Hi to all I've been living in FL for the past 15y. It's wonderful to see things from Brazil here in this forum.
I've met Kaminsk and used to fly together in ctba. We use to fly every saturday and have a big barbecue party after.
Lot's of great friends and memories.....
I really wish to see more brazilians coming to TopGun, FloridaJets, Monster airplanes.
Congrats for this post ....
Thanks
Roger

Hi Rogerio I think that I remember you.. how you been? If my memory doesn´t fail me you was the guy to fly here the first Carl Goldberg chipmunk , isn´t it?
About going to the u.s. is quite common to people going watch and buy some small parts and new gadgets at the events, but taking a airplane with a case is close to impossible
or at least extremely hard and unnerving.
Just let me tell a funny one that happened at the airport check in in Manaus. My travel case is made of polycarbonate with the purpose of showing people what´s inside it without needing to open the box and also to airport workers see that there is something delicate inside it. (they always took more care).
I noticed a young couple with kids at my side looking alarmed to my box whispering between them if my Roo was sort of a missile. Hearing that and fortunately understanding english I explained them about what was it and they where amazed about it and our event. Later I asked from where they are from and they said New York (!) well, quite understandable but at least they enjoyed their stay in Manaus too.
I would like very much for things being easier for traveling up there. Hope to this happening someday!

At least you are still free to visit us next year, Andy. You will be welcome. English translations services aren´t not too bad either.. At least David was able to ask for food and water!

It would be great to see you here. Brazil has good hotels and it is a nice place to visit. However the Walmarts and other stores aren´t as well supplied like the u.s. ones. Anyway, you may match a visit to
your cousin with a jet meet.
I will keep you and the jet guys as well informed when a good, jet friendly event is about to happen this place.

Thanks Acarlos, and yes, it was very nice weekend indeed.
Pity that is almost sure that I woudn´t be able to attend Fortaleza this year, but I am hoping that I will the next one.
Abraço, Enrique

Hey Enrique,
Great time down there once again! Ary puts on a 1st class event and everyone has a lot of fun.
Andy you need to make it down for an event! It's relaxing and everyone is extremely helpful, no pressure, just pure fun.
I put together a short video from one of my flights with the Turbinator, you can see a bit of the layout around the field, it really is in the middle of the Amazon jungle, and a great place to fly. I felt right at home with the nice warm/humid weather .

Awesome footage, David . Great to see again the surroundings of this unique place. Also at 3:10 you caught me taking off with the Roo.
It was a pleasure as usual to fly with you, and hope that we come back to meet Ary next year again!
Enrique
