Did you airbrush the sky at the same time?

Very nice work, I spray twin pack myself and can appreciate what goes into making a model look like that

Not a big fan of the antenna on the bottom of the jet and I suspect it will not be there for long but other than that I love it, Excellent work!

Thanks everyone. It is a gorgeous day here in Florida today, absolutely no clouds just sunny and 80 degrees. i will be going to Joe Nall myself for atleast one day maybe two on the first weekend of it. I will have a small display area with the futura and this viperjet being the only work that I will have there. I hope to do more jets soon and maybe even some heli's???

Too bad NASA didn't let you paint the space shuttles.

Oversprayer,

Beautiful work!! But I do have a philosophical question - maybe no clear answer - with a clear coat that nice is it really necessary to buff it out?

Not only to you have skill but a mind to match. You displayed your craft for all to see and the cost of advertising was free. Than you went on to inform the audience where to find you. Ingenuity plus my hats off to you.

Charlie 1960 Amen, thats exactly where it comes from. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. And they wouldnt let paint the shuttles due to weight issues. something to do with needing to acheive the orbit or something like that.I just thought who cares as long as you look good doing it.The clear does look good but youcan see still that it could be flatter in areas so I flatten it with 1500 then 2000, 3000 then buff.

I really like the lime-green and blue on the ViperJet. Really makes the jet look good! My Buzz Lightyear pilot will look better in that jet than he does in my F-4.

BTW, I saw your work on the R/C boats when I was at Tom's shop.

If you were allowed to paint the space shuttle, it would have drawn a lot more attention to the shuttle program. What was NASA thinking?!!!
But buffing that sucker out would have been a real PITA.

Thanks so so much. And there is absolutely no way they would have got me to buff out the shuttle. LOL heck half of the paint job would be burned off in re-entry anyways. lol. But it would have been nice though to have had moreattentionthrough the years, to probablyone of the most important programs our country / countrieshas ever funded.
