I have heard a rumour that Kingtech are intending to bring out a smaller engine in the 13-15 lb thrust range. Not sure if this is true

There are a huge gap between the nano turbines and 8kg thrust turbines. Both MW44 and P60 are heavy for the power output. There are a fiew others but nothing up to date with 10:1 thrust to weight ratio like the modern turbines.

When they were getting ready to release the 140... I was talking with the Rep about a "P-20" sized turbine. (5~6 Lb thrust) He said "it was on the drawing board... but there a few turbines that they were going to release first."
Since then... they released the 140 and 170... so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a small turbine from them. Good reliability, and $1k less than JetCat.
