Any more input?

Why don't some of you suggest some additional topics?

Looks good, and they should cut down on redundant questions. (As a manufacture, I understand) Unfortunately... since I'm not really a manufacturer for model jets... I don't know what questions you guys get.

BUT... some thoughts...

1) Do you have any tips for tracking down a leak in the air system? (brakes or retracts)

2) Programming an electronic air valve.

3) Tuning tips on the turbines you carry. (ie, how to deal with hot starts, and make ECU adjustments)

4) How to rebuild a mechanical air valve.

5) if you have any strange linkage set-up's in your kits... a short vid would help.

Just some random thoughts while drinking my coffee.

Fantastic!

1.) Seems elementary but how about a video showing how to correctly C.G. a model?

2.) maybe fuel system do's and don'ts, where to use festos, filters, shut-off valves - show wire tie technique and product

3.) changing a flex plate, changing a tire

All of these are good ideas...in fact, Friday, Dustin and I discussed items 1 and 4. Tracking down air leaks...specifically gear cylinder leaks, and rebuilding air valves and brake valves will probably be the next video topics.
The other topic suggestions will follow...

Not really a tutorial but whilst you have the camera out

How about a video review of each of the available models. You could show what is provided in the kit, what options there are, as many of the colour schemes as possible (for the ARFs), flight videos etc.

That would be great!

Great videos, thanks Harley and Dustin. The 12X crow setup was particularly useful.

Great idea and vids Guys! How about basic mix programming and explaining various mix programs such as servo over travel for another function (figured this one out myself but seriously think I did it the hard way) and mix switch controls functions. I never had a JR tx with the roller knob before i got the 10X so 12x was a new game altogether for me just navigating it. Once again great tutorial. Scott

That would represent a major undertaking. A video like that would be about 2 or 3 hours long.
Currently, we have 15 BVM turbine kits, and another nine designed for EDF. Each one has several options available, and several color schemes are available for each of the ARF's.
Skymaster and Extreme Jets adds another 28 kits to the mix.....(with more to follow).

We have all of that information available on our easily navigated website. Each jet has its own file, which covers all of the options and paint schemes.
Setting the failsafe is a good next topic......I'll talk to Dustin about it today.

I was thinking of 1 video per model rather than a 3 hour long video showing all of them!

I have spent hours looking through the website so know what's there and I still think that a video would be good. For example, there are colour scheme photos but it would be nice to see each one in the flesh rather than looking at the drawing. Still, if it's too much effort........[&o] I'll pick my multi thousand dollar model from a small description on a web page instead

Harley,

a video showing real time the assembly of the BARF MK2 at the field would be a nice addition.

I have received several e-mails, as well as phone calls and PM's regarding the field assembly procedure for the Bandit ARF Mk II. The topic seems have generated some major interest.
I just spoke to Dustin, and and he has a favorable opinion of the topic....he will schedule the shoot ASAP. We also discussed the JetCat failsafe procedure for the JR 12X, so look for these two topics in the near future.

I think that's going to be a real selling feature over the original BARF, i know several people who have passed on them because of the long assembly time at the field. i always loved the way the Bandits flew, but hated that damn belly pan.

Today Dustin and I shot the Bandit ARF Mk II field assembly procedure.
Dustin is doing the editing now, so it should be in the next set of tutorials.
Stay tuned to www.bvmjets.com for more!

How about the Jet Cat fail safe proceedure for the Futaba 12Z/14MZ as well? There are some different aspects to setting up fail safe on these radios that a lot of people are unaware of.
