I blew the canopy off my Shockjet.... My poor little pilot with his head stuck out in the breeze....I'm feeling a little sorry for him and may have to move him over to the Eurosport. I've dropped Troybuilt a note... But has anyone had to replace this with something... I don't know if you've noticed..but even a well stocked hobby shop has about "0" inventory any more for a builder... You've got glue and a stack of balsa.. But replacement canopies and things like that are
getting hard to find in the ARF era...

Bill,
Sig will be your best bet on that. I had one getting lose on mine so took it off and cleaned all the mystery glue off. Made a new backing plate the shape of the canopy foot and glued it to the inside of the hatch area. I then put 8, 2-56 blind-nuts with button allen screws in the mix. The screws I used are like the ones some use to hold a car body on with.

Put a spike on top of the pilot's helmet, a scarf around his neck and some black crosses on the wings and you don't NEED a canopy.

That and get the bugs out of his teeth !!!! Good to go !!
