Hi Carbon!
Your plane is very nice, nice weathering!
I bought the same materials for my plane, could you describe how did you do it?
Is just put the paint and remove the excess?
Thanks

yeah it is. but the paint on the plane must have matt finish, because if its clear coated the oil paint will not stick.
if you have a clear coat I would let it sit some days before removing it again, to have it stick in the rivets.
remember to mix varnish in the oil paint so it can harden

after you have removed the exess dirt from the plane it will take some days to stop being sticky, but it will never dry totally

i never did finish this thread...
but i lost the plane some months after the maiden.
i was making a touch & go at a local airfield, but i diddent have enough "runway" to make the "go", so the hawk ended its days right there![Frown](https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)

everything was fine, i only lost the fiberglas.
the crash happend with about 40 mph.
i wanted a new plane but i think it was to costly, only the fiberglass, WO elevator, fin and all headware, SM still wanted almost 3000$
then i bought my used FEJ F16 i got now, and i have just ordered a new UNPAINTED FEJ 1:4,6 F16 to pimp in danish colors. with alot scale features.

Hi Kasper,
Sorry for your loss; wonderful work on the details.
Could you share with me how you did the main gear cylinders? I have the BVM upgrade cylinders but it sems to have the door open only just enough to clear the tire. Your doors look to be open a lot more than mine at the moment - I am still working on the gear doors.
Thanks
Dave

hmm? i really dont know, it just worked from start... but this were the std rams.
if i were you i would use servos for the doors instead, mine always opened when i flew knife egde. with a nasty rudder disanvantage
