I would have shoved some down into it quick! lol. Didn`t have much time for anything. Why was the stick pulled back so fast? Even if the CG was off. Pulling slow and gradaully to let it lift itself may have given it chance.

It doesn't matter.....

Other manufacturers are never erased as quickly as the "approved" manufacturers are. Failure videos of the major brand disappear as fast as they are put up.

Some of the idiots on here will bash anyone they don't approve of....

Most of the also have ZERO understanding of basic economics......

Funny how it's always the same people.....

Love the block button, because stupid people annoy me.

Range check. A dying skill.

j/k, I'm sure they checked that. Sad loss indeed, it gets more painful everytime I watch it.
Perhaps a rebuilt version will be better in the long run...afterall now you can replace/access all those hidden areas!

Whats too bad is everyone is quick to bash everyone and everything else. Hate BVM, hate Chinese builders, just plain hate everything. If any of you can design and build better than any of these manufacturers, then by all means, have at it. If you can't, then keep your bias to yourself and get to the point of the post. Was this a poorly set-up plane, bad flying, or just a bad experience. I personally did not see anything fly off the jet and as someone already wrote, the gear worked! We all share this hobby and there are different opinions for everyone, stop arguing or I will take away recess!!!!

Now that's a good post......

Funny how it's always the same people that bash, and always the same people that attack me when I point it out. Glad they are all blocked so they can scream all they want.

I especially love being called a BVM hater because I refuse to pay a huge mark up for stickers that say BVM more than quality.....LOL...It's not questioning their quality, it's questioning their mark up.....too funny

I had to look at ignorance...........Hey KC take your foot out of your mouth because your comment is totally wrong. Funny comment from a guy who has a crush on BVM.

Me saying I personally wouldn't buy a BVM product because of their prices, and you attacking me as some sort of BVM hater and then making that post.......wow you need to pay your shrink more....really not doing their job.

Could not agree more. I have nothing against the product or Bob himself, just alot more money than I wish to crash at one time. Plus, I like the combat style jets, and the Chinese builders are the only ones making these. It sucks, but I am not going to bash one or the other.

Richard,

What's a combat style jet? BVM makes an F-86, F-100, F-4, F-16, MiG-15, and an F-80.

The more I read the way these threads evolve regardless of its original subject, the more I get convinced that there is something very wrong with mankind.

Desertlakesflying, you are so wrong on your mind about BVM. I have proven it time and time again tha BVM jets are the cheapest jets to fly.
If you are educated enough to do the math, cost per flights on BVM products , easily enough shows how cheap they are.
Their are BVM flyers who get 1000 flights on their jet and then sell them for what they paid for them.
Then their are guys that buy cheep Chinese jets , get one flight, and are now out thousands of dollars.
So buy cheap, buy twice.

PS, I get absolutly no BVM discount.
Just trying to help the foolish

So you don't care to pay a lot for this muffler thats ok.
Understandably you don't have to and can spend your money elsewhere.
Can you really find a better product?
Keep trying maybe someday you will.

Its freedom of choice that makes us all Americans.
Today is the first time any of this has ever been said on RCU. Nice job!

I saw one BVM crash a couple of years ago, and felt rally bad for the owner, for what I heard he had over 10K invested in that model... In an ideal world models would only crash due to structural failure. With 40 years in the hobby I know that in the real world jet and prop driven models meed their demise mostly by other factors...

My 2 cents.

I'm confuse [] Was this crash cause by bad manufacture design or the pilot bad C/G placement.

Power was up, nothing fell off...CG issue is what I see. FEJ has posted data on CG for this bird, wondering why this happened? Always hate to see someone lose a plane.

True, the F-15(large and small), F-14, A-10, F-16 (large), just saying. I have three Skymaster jets and they all look and fly just as well as the BVM(IMO), I don't know how long or how many flights they will last, but I guess that depends on me and my thumbs. S#$t happens.

The F-104 was a tricky jet in the real world much less in this model world.  It looks like a classic pitch up from over control.  Consider the real F-104  had 9 feet of wing on each side and a fuselage that was almost 60 feet long.  It accelerated so fast that it could over speed the landing gear very quickly.  It had Boundary Layer Control on the leading edges, leading edge flaps as well as trailing edge flaps.  It was a great point interceptor but could not turn and that is the reason it did not last in the USAF for too long.  The old F-100, the preverbial lead sled, came before the F-104 and stuck around years after the F-104.  The simple reason was it was tougher and more manuerverable.

So I do not think it is a good candidate for a flying model unless a lot of modifying to the wing is done (like more of it).  But once airborne I am sure nothing will keep up with it.

Always be aware, ANY fixed wing aircraft that relies only on said wings for lift will stall in flight or at takeoff even with correct CG, if the flight or takeoff is too slow, at or below stall speed .[8D]

Pete,
Agree with your "principle" on BVM for sure. There was a day that you could fly BVM for a few years and then sell your bug for very close to the original investment. But those days are gone I believe...Kingcats selling for $4500 and such. I think those days are gone with the wind...BUT BVM is worth it over the test of time and price per flight for sure!!!
