Hi All i have been using heating oil (kero) for around three months now,i cannot find any differance regarding performance,i know several other people who have been using it for years and have had no problems.
I was told that the EU has made the oil manufacters upgrade the specs on heating oil to cut down on emissions but i do not know how true that is regards Keith

I get heating oil (kerosene - parafin oil) from a local heating oil company for £22 for 25 litres which is around $32 for 4 american gallons (aprox 20 litres). If anyone in the west Midlands (Stourbridge) wants to know the contact details just pm me.

I also use heating oil, I add a very small amount of additive to lower the smoke emissions. I have been using this for over a year now and all seems fine. I also checked this out with Wren and they said it was ok. I have oil heating at home so I get it in bulk at a cost of about £0.56 (56p) or about $0.86 per litre. You have to buy about 2000 litres at a time to get this sort of price however
