Yeah, I don't think it is possible Sean. I have tried to and I think the picture portion of the site code is written in something Safari and the iPad OS can't handle. I was going to try it in Mercury and see if that worked. Someone needs to make an RCU App.

Hi guys, i have an ipad and post photos, you get an app called photobucket, up load the photos into that app, you then click on the photo you need and click at the top on a link image, this gives you option to upload and copy. click on the line that is HTML code, you then click copy or hold finger on line until copy icon appears. now go back to the post, open a new post, type in you words, a couple of carriage returns then hold on that point with your finger until paste appears. paste, all you will get is script, photobucket inserts your photo and resizes for you. i hope this helps

That's the best way i've found as well Phil. Tapatalk is a horrid way of viewing forums, especially if you alternate between and ipad/iphone and pc

Whilst this works it is not really doing what it should.
All you are doing is creating an html link to another website. What RCU needs to do is support these mobile devices so you can simply select pictures from your device without having to register and uploads pics to another website/app in order to be able to reference them here.
This is the only workaround until then I guess.

Snag is as mark says it is only a HTML to another site a problem with using photo bucket etc is a few years down the road the pictures may get changed/deleted and there is nothing as annoying as spending ages searching for an old topic on RCU and then find all the pictures in the thread you wanted missing because they weren't posted directly to RCU

Mark i don't think it's possible to do that from an ipad/iphone on anything other than when it's connected to your pc/mac. So it's probably more of an Apple issue and something they need to build into the devices than anything web builders need to do. It is a pain but so is Apple's insistance on not wanting to recognise flash

Can you upload pics from an I book pro .

Mark/Duncan,
Flash is not going to be continued to be developed by Adobe so seems Steve Jobs won his 2nd biggest battle of his life! Looks like the much vaunted HTML5 and beyond will take its place.
Flash is supported by all desktops and laptops. Apple chose not to on their mobile devices as they always considered it inefficient and too resource hungry for a mobile device. Annoyingly as devices got more and more powerful and capable of supporting it Apple couldn't be seen to be making the biggest u-turn ever!!!
If apps like TapaTalk, Whatsapp etc allow you to upload and send pics I'm not sure it is an Apple issue, more that the current websites probably just don't support these facilities.

I use both iPad and MacBook pro, I did ask the question about being unable to upload images using the iPad some time ago. The MacBook works fine for uploading.
