Having been born in the great state of Texas, I am clearly a longhorn fan first. ( don't tell my dad) however, being the son of a great Louisiana man, I grew up going to LSU games. So let's make the same bet we had a couple of years ago. LSU wins, you wear a tiger shirt at top gun of my choosing. Said shirt will be worn on the Friday event. I lose, I will wear that bama rag. What say you? Barry

Dang you think you would learn from previous years. I am not as confident in this game as previous ones, LSU is the real deal, unlike that pack of Longhorns from a few years ago. I mean these Tigers do come from the SEC-West....but in the spirit of your wager, I will submit, BUT only if you promise no halter tops or Texas wife beaters.

Man, its a good thing you know more about flying jets than football. I am gonna have to pick out something "real nice" for you this year...maybe something from the big girls rack.
Defense wins championships and Bama had LSU figured out. I got some Honey Badger jerky if you wanna try some...tasty stuff...:-)

Deja Deux? lol.
Alabama's defense (linemen average over 300 lbs ea) spanked LSUs offense. LSUs quarterback was lost in a fog. Everything he did failed. Bama rolled them. First shutout in BCS history. Bama got 384 yards verses LSU's pathetic 92. LSU only crossed the 50 yard line once and that didn't happen until 7:58 in the fourth quarter. Usually when a team holds off offense to 3 field goals up to the 4th quarter things turn around. But LSU just couldn't make it happen. Then Bama scored a touchdown in the 4th and that was the nail that sealed LSUs coffin.
The only good thing LSU did was to block a field goal, hold off Bama at 15 points until the 4th quarter and make a few QB sacks. I thought it was going to be a better game for LSU. I kept waiting for something to happen. It just didn't. They were defeated before the 1st Q.
Kudos to BAMA for playing an almost perfect game. Only one penalty (special teams) the whole game.
IMO - Game MVP = Bama Quarterback AJ McCarron (a Sophomore 34 passes with 24 completions) close second MVP Trent Richardson
Worst Player = LSU Quarterback Jordan Jefferson (only threw 53 yards, sacked 4 times, lost a fumble and got intercepted once)

In my hopefully last response to this ridulous callout by my friend who really does not know much about football (I love him anyways) I have to remind him that
#1 - The past SIX BCS champions have come from the SEC - a record
#2 - The past three BCS champions have come from the state of Alabama - a record
#3 - the past three (and four of the past six) have come from the SEC-West - a record
IN the final AP poll for the College year 2011 three of the top five (Bama, LSU and Arkansas) are in the top five. We might be "dumb Gumps" and "Bammers" down here in the South, but we know a thing orr two about footbal. Now the question begs to be asked....on Friday at Top Gun will you be flying in a strapless Bama Girl top or a pink teddie?? Besides we all know I wouldn't look good in purple and gold.

They just announced on the news, the whole LSU team is stuck in New Orleans, seams the driver parked their bus on the other side of the 50 yrd line and they can't get to it.
