I'm not sure what you guys are paying for DTE right now... but one of the tool shops I buy from sells DTE Light in 5 gal buckets for $103. OK... it's not a great price... but I have a free shipping code for them. That should help the overall price. I just thought I would share that with you all.

When I need a bucket, I just contact my local Mobile Oil distributor. If they don't have it in stock, it is only a day or two, I pick it up and the only cost is the bucket cost ... no shipping at all, since it is a stock item. The price does vary with the fluctuation of the market, but a lot cheaper than you are being quoted.

I think my last 5 gal was about $ 65.00 - $ 70.00.... I pick it up local here in Austin.

OK... I don't use DTE, (yet) but I thought I would share. But it's good to know the current "local" pricing.

I buy the gallon size containers and get (6) in a case for about $21 a gallon including the shipping from McMaster-Carr.For me its much easier than handling the 5gal pail. Also i usually end up selling a gallon or two to my jet buds when they run low.
