Default servo linkages

Hi all
What's the best servo linkage setup for the added security? I've seen people use 4-40 types? And carbon fibre horns?
What is everyone using? Just trying get ideas before I buy the bits
Cheers all
Regards
Dan

I would use 3mm push rods with dual carbon horns and those very nice Alu ball links from Conrad's, on the servo end I would use the dual servo arms that Mark directed me to, can 't find a link at the moment, but will look and post if I do.

Not as far as I know, at the moment I am on my laptop in the South of France, until I get back to my Desktop I am unable to post links to these product, but what you can do is look up "Conrad Electronics" they have the ali ball links in both 3mm x 3mm and 3mm x 2mm, 3mm push rods can be obtained from any LHS, the dual servo horns and surace horns are from a German company who's name I can't remember at the moment, but will try to find a link.

I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right place, but you talking about the 3mm plastic ball joints?

No, its the servo arms that have a forked end which a plastic ball link link is fitted between, this provides an even pressure around the link as its braced from both sides rather than just one on a conventional servo arm.

I've used the Gabriel servo arms and their control horns and really like them a lot.

The brand is Gabriel. Here is their site:
http://www.ganz-klar-vitrinen.de//shop.php?id=27
http://www.ganz-klar-vitrinen.de//shop.php?id=13

Their site is a little difficult to understand, but you can click on the tabs under 'modelbau' to see the products. They offer regular arms too, and Futaba as well as JR. My first order was direct through them but it was a real challenge with the language difference and I had to specially wire money with western union which was a great pain. Although, my parts arrived before the Western Union was collected, so their service was really good....just cumbersome.

My last order I used the online order from this site and it worked very very easily:
http://shop.lindinger.at/index.php?language=en
You can filter by brand and find the Gabriel stuff:
http://shop.lindinger.at/advanced_se...abriel&x=0&y=0

The only downside was that shipping was a flat rate of 20euros which was rather steep....but still nicer ordering experience, plus I got order tracking information. One of my items was backordered and after some back and forth on email it was sorted out and it arrived yesterday.

As mentioned above, another place that carries them, although not the full range, and their shipping was a lot more reasonable was Phil at FighterAces:
http://www.fighteraces.co.uk/

They come with 3mm ball links which isn't very common in the US. I like to use 3mm titanium rod ends from Central Hobbies, along with their CF rods you can make them up any length you need.

Hope this is helpful.

On a side note, I got these from Lindinger:
http://shop.lindinger.at/product_inf...ducts_id=54821
They work pretty well once installed, was wondering if anyone has found something similar available domestically?

Thanks!

I am still not on my Desktop yet, but will post later, reson is the site I have has dual carbon horns for gluing into surfaces, I promise I will find them and post, I used to make my own, but since finding these its easier to buy them.

Reason I am not on my Desktop is I am stuck in France unable to get out of my driveway, its -15C and the loo water froze this morning, I am not used to this being a soft South Englander.
