Getting ther dude!! Wel done elevator looks a lot better now! Yeh you can get them reversers & il Settle it over PayPal with you if that's what you want!! Iv managed to get some alloys and trailing link legs aswel, it's hard to find them to fit on those eflite retracts come around next week and have a look at them thers. 2 types. I wanted to get some tam jets but they do not do anything to fit the eflite 80-120 size retracts! Also must say Thanks to (Dave ) from motors & rotors who has helped us with this project! Done the canopy today, worked out quite well - very pleased with my work ... you owe my wife a box a cling film (took the Gripen out today and put 3 mean flights on it as well)

Also extended the rod support at the exit of the fuselage for the elevator rods .. much happier now (would have been ok though)

Did you source the Y lead reverses from Gliders today?

Managed to find an afternoon to get on with your citation ... got the servos and rods into the wings.

The under carriage mounts literally fell out of the wings :-( so I made some proper ones and epoxied them in.

The eflite retracts fit like a peach but the depth of the wings ment I had to mount them at a slight angle other wise they would be sitting proud, but I think it looks ok ...

I managed to cobble together a dual nose wheel front leg from the old habu stuff and some bits and pieces from my spares pots :-) , not long now fella ...

Cool dude you've naild this project fast looks sweet how did the other trailing link legs look? did you try them?? To small? Looks cool yeh the retract mounts didn't look good! First and were weak. Wel done lad looks like il have to nail a maiden flight strait away with it , sweet work hope ur good come down this Friday if your around Bham!

Dude, other ones were to small and the compression was to soft ... the pin size was to small for the eflite retracts :-(

Ok dude never mind they wil do for now! il maiden it and fly it around a few times if all goes well then we can put some better and scale uc on it! What's the weight saying?? Have you weighd the model yet? What kind of auw are we looking at now that it's near complete all up weight?

No prob Raj. Don't rush it. It's a big investment so plan out that maiden flight carefully. Flying my Futura for the first time next Saturday as long as weather is like today.

it wil be flown when it's the correct time and wheather as you say ther is a lot of money invested into it can therefore I can not cut corners just to get it in the air!! You have to Let me knw how the futura flew Nxt sat

Great job on the horns you made. They certainly don't look home-made. If you could make hundreds of them, you would not have any problem selling them! Put me in for at least 50 of them if you decide to make them. Best horns I've ever seen!

As discussed cant use the front leg as the pin required is not in the eflite kit and the hole is the incorrect size so I have fitted the standard one (looks ok and works well enough)

I replaced all the wood for the retract mounts with proper ply as the wood installed was poor quality, but where do you stop?

Kinda making it up as I go now, just as well the instructions were rubbish .. All the hard work is done now, it is starting to put weight on, but whats in there has to be in there ...

I have do a dry fit to wet your appetite!

Sweet work dude!! It's a shame about them trailing link legs never mind those eflite retracts look solid hope ther as strong when it comes to 1 funny landing!! Great you've done some good work I guess runing both engines is not far of now keep it up cheers.

Those eFlite retracts are much under-rated. I use them on the mains for my Futura. Only small issue you can get with them is if the two sides of the frame aren't tight together. If not, the circuit board that has the micro-switches can drop out of the grooves in the two sides of the frame...and then the whole thing don't work.
