Sorry matt,

Look at the other videos I posted on how they made it and that is really is a motor running the wings from a sensor mounted on his two arms moving drive the motor on his back

Now come on Matt , I thought you would have been the smart guy to figure this out first

Watch all of the videos series (Humanbirdwings.net) on YouTube before you make silly comments. http://www.youtube.com/user/jarnosmeets80?feature=watch

Yea, I'm still not convinced that the final video - which shows him flying up to 75' or more up into the air - is real. I'm just not sure that the power-to-weight ratio is there...

Aren't these the same guys who posted videos of people "running on water"? Ya'll should be smare enough to know those wings wont produce enough lift.. no matter what.

found this on another blog, I agree......

"Clearly a fraud by a techno-ignoramus. He talks about electric motors as if they are power “sources†when he mentions “Lightweight motors that output 2000W aren’t hard to find.†Motors do NOT output power they consume power and generate mechanical motion. No where do we see the huge battery pack that would be required to run those motors. Birds can fly with reasonable size wings only because they are completely engineered in every respect for the lightest possible body weight. Even if you miraculously solved the battery issue, those wings would have to be massively larger to generate the lift required for an adult human when the only airflow over the wings is coming from the running and flapping action. Bogus in every possible way.'

Well maybe not the first to figure it out, but at least the first to call BS in this thread!

Yes I watched that on liveTV, it looked real to me!

Pretty sure it was before we had much in the way of digital video editing technology (or Criss Angel)....

Guys?!?!

I would have thought that we as model jet pilots, with our passion, understanding and experience of all things aviation would sit and laugh at this. The fact people believe it staggers me. At what point did all your experience and common sense regarding flight basics disappear? Jeez. I didn't think we could repeat the ridiculous arguments that surrounded the last clearly BS YouTube posting...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhV5dJk_5rQ&feature=fvst

And, for those that missed the above, yes there were people on this forum arguing why it wasn't fake. I mean c'mon...................[&:]
