Be sure and put "toy" either put toy return for repair or put toy parts.

I have never had pay customs dutiy on any jet. I would go get the papers from the shipper when it arrived and take them to customs myself. Cleared all with no problem. There are no tariffs on model airplanes.

Kerry Logistics handeled the broker, but for two days a guy tried doing everything was not "broker" he was a fowarder, finaly got him out out of the loop and got direct to the broker in Dallas and things are starting to move now.
The customs folks didn't understand some of the wording, thats is what caused the mess, Avonds was great at getting and answering all the e-mails seeimgly instantly. that went along way at sorting things out, untill they read radio controlled now the FCC wants to look at it.
Anyway........ The lady on the job now is doing a great job at sorting through the mess, hopefuly all will be finished today.
I will be ready to get to the building part for sure( and a dog beer)
Thanks guys
Kevin

Kevin, sounds encouraging! I have always found him to be responsive and courteous. What kit are you getting?
I enjoyed the F104 build and have an F16 NIB currently for sale. I'd like to build the Fouga and if the F-16 sells I'll order the Fouga.

Getting a F-16( if customs decides they don't want it). Everthing done to my knowledge at 9:00 am, but at 5:00pm they went home so I get to pay two more days of storage.
It's just a toy
Monday willl be good.

Finaly got the kit out of "jail", only took a week.
While I understand the job Customs does, I feel like I've been mugged(more by the shipping company).
I have learned alot, and in the end I should have a great flying jet. The paint that is already picked out will tie into the experience also.
