Default UMX Mig 15 EDF

I was lucky enough to get one of the few sample Mig 15's that came to the UK. I've now had several flying sessions with it and thought I would report here.
The model really looks good, proportion is right and the scheme almost matches my new GJC Mig 15!
The undercarriage features a steerable nose wheel, yet all three unplug quickly to allow hand launch take off. Its much quicker without the undercarriage legs in!
I didn't set anything in the model memory other than a model name and count down timer set for 3 minutes (which turned out about right!)
The gyro system makes it very staple, but when you stall it, the final break-away is sudden, I guess the gyro masks the wolley feel leading up to the stall.
The battery could do with being at the back of the battery slot, rudder works well in yaw, nearly enough for knife edge and certainly adds to long slow rolls. It can be flown jet like and looks great.

I love it and can't wait for the delivery to arrive next month...

I was also lucky enough to be able to have a fly of this fantastic little model today!
It handled brilliantly and was a joy to fly.
I was a little concerned that it would be quite twitchy, especially with me being a newbie, but there were no worries where that was concerned, as it behaved very well!
Think I will be adding one of these beauties to my collection soon!!

Jamie

Will do...

It is an amazing package, I've flown it in a 10mph wind and it handles it well, today we had 3-5mph and it was really nice, smooth and looked great

Most of the flying pixs were by Claire.

I have been flying the Carbon Cub this week, the AS3X gadgetry really does work well. I was expecting the MIG to be something special . . . . looks like it is!

Delivery has now moved to June?

I've had the Geebee on order since it was announced, it arrived last friday(!) Lovely to fly with the AS3X, but HH and specially the nordic distrubitor (Small Size) really needs to kick it up a notch. Although this time HH was quick to reply on emails.

we watched the Horizon boys fly laps with 3 of these birds in Mississippi this weekend. Fantastic performance from those lil birds. 4 point rolls were completed with ease. really neat airplanes.
congrats on getting one from the first batch.

cheers
