Remember this one??? wise man once said "THERE IS NO CRYING IN MODEL JETS" "DON'T LIKE IT DON'T COME"
Oh yeah,,,, you were the wise man that said that..[X(]

It doesn't seem that the discussion of the past is very productive. As I said before, it seems as if a reasonable dialog with those in the Fresno club who would support a turbine event would be productive. In the mean time, an EDF/ducted fan specific event has its place...

Nah,,,,, it's all about the flying!!!! I'll get my fix at BEST IN THE WEST.... That show is going to be OFF THE HOOK this year. No doubt about that with Classy Joe C running it.

AND THE PLOT THICKENS
Tune in for our next epsiode to find out if the overly excitable digitally controlled, purple coolaid drinking CA super pilots will mix their kerosene injected super blowers and burn up the blue skies over Fresno and shake the town. or will they stay home, sip orange juice and relax?
Is it about drama or flying............(off course there are people involved...lol)

My comments were taken the wrong way. I actually meant this as a compliment. I and many of my other friends have always enjoyed the comradry, friendship, help along with all the fun times I have had hanging out at the BITW or other CA crew events. Thats what its been about for me..no drama here.
I can also understand some people might be intimidate based on their flying abilities or personal preferences and might want to limit the scope of their event to their local clients. Feeling intimidated can be caused by others or could be internal. I have never felt intimidated by anyone in any CA events.
Lets make this THE BEST BITW.

RE: Fresno 2012 Jet Rally, no turbines?
Just like pretty much all IMAA and IMAC events, the "after hours" flying is for those planes that don't meet the criteria for the event. Wouldn't make sense that it would be okay for people to fly "prop" foamies and helis after the official event is winding down for the day? This might apply to turbines as well...ducted fan all day and then the after hours planes could include a turbine or two...
I'm moving to Norcal and am looking for some good turbine friendly fields and jet events...I've enjoyed the Fresno field in the past and would love to see a big "all inclusive" jet event there again. I'll be looking for advertisements and announcements in 2013!
Good luck with this year's event...maybe the beginning of something great.

I guess last years event went OK, they are having the second annual this weekend, DF only. Is anyone on here going?
