Default Retract????

Hi All,

I have a retract question?? I recently had to pull one of my retracts out of my jet to take apart for a repair. The gear worked perfect before a problem on the one gear. The retract speed was excellent with no slamming up or down. Once I took the retract completely apart, did the repair, reassembled and install back in my jet. The repaired gear is now slamming up and down, even at 50 psi. It seems as if the gear is really locking hard in the up and down position and the air system is pushing hard on the one gear to retract after the nose and the other main gear retracts. I'm wondering if the pin that moves the trunion need to be screwed in more.

What could be causing this? Do I need to re-grease the O-rings? Maybe loosen the retract side rails slightly with help?

Any help or assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

More information is necessary. What Manufacture of gear? Which gear, main or nose? What did you repair? Photos of the gear?

My guess is that the two retract side plates are not perfectly align, these can cause the pin not to move freely and I think its caused by how the retracts screws are tighten. in that case, loosen all screws and retighten again.
