Massachusetts Welcomes Another Waivered Jet Pilot
I have to say.... I've seen/heard of people passing the Turbine Waiver by the skin of their teeth, in other words, they're just good enough to join the jet 'club'. That is just no the case here.
Jason Plumer, a young man from the Plum Island area has been working with his new Boomerang Nano since last summer to earn his jet wings. Last Saturday, June 16th at the Plum Island Jet Rally, Jason has successfully passed his oral quiz and practical flight test and has EARNED his turbine waiver. Jason flies as smooth as David Shulman and he seems to hold an altitude better than a full scale cockpit's autopilot!
A bunch of us are proud of you Jason... Feel good that you 100% earned the card.
Here's a pic I stole from the Plum Island thread..... left is me, center is Frank Alvarez, and to the right is Jason. Congrats Jason! It's good to see a young pilot like you take turbine flying safe and serious. [8D]

Great job Jason. It's good to see younger pilots with the enthusiasm that you have. I'm embarased to say that your landings are light years better than mine. Now you can start thinking about this years upcoming band season. I hope you do as well with band as you do with jet flying. Damn, this summer is flying by.

Congratulations Jason ! ! ..... you have progressed amazingly over the past few months. Now that you have your waiver you might want to consider making a few bad landings (on purpose) once in a while .... so some of us older pilots don't feel so bad.
Also, great job by Mike and Jeff and Frank (and others) that providing the great training and advice.
