So the powerbox switch is not enough? I will be using 7955 all around. I dont know if this switch will handle the amps drawn from servos.

The power box switch is fine, The Powerjack is installed after the switch and boosts the voltage and power to servos. All the plane power requirements go through the Powerbox sensor switch. I have used the same set up both with and without the Powerjack. Never had a problem with them. In some cases of larger airframes I have fitted 2 receivers to the sensor switch and on one of my large planes that is over the UK 20 Kg weight limit I fitted a Powerbox Gemini as this had a large number of high power servos.

Hi Javier

I have had a few go through my workshop and am sorry to say I'm anal enough to note the weights
A wing with the fixed tip and retract only, no servos is between 990 and 1055g, with removable tip 25-30g lighter

I have the latest viper with detachable wing tips and i have a medium size wing bag that is 90cm x 61cm x 7cm and it fits wings in beautifully with enough room for wing tips and a section for wing tube. I bought it at Hobbyking to see what theirs was like and at $20 it was worth it.

Hi guys.
I just received my black/gold viper from GJC and wow am I impressed. Jose was very helpful in guiding me on my first turbine. Given there are several posts on the forum, I look forward to everyone's guidance on th build and preparation of this amazing airframe.
One point I want to ask before starting my build is about the cg as its obvious over here that there are several approaches to assuring a good balance. Would the new airframe need a particular arrangement ? I got the arf pro version so a lot of the work is already done. I'll be installing the king tech k100 and maybe changing my UAT,otherwise all looks good.

Thanks
taimoor

Hi taimoor, In the early pages of this thread there is a setup file and it shows the cg right on the front of the turbine hatch. I have balanced mine at this point and it flies beautifully, I also got the pro-wired version and changed the UAT. I have a Kingtech 100 in mine also and you will not be disappointed with this setup.

im happy to know I am not alone where did you install you lipos? Could you share a shot of your fuselage setup?
It should guide me during my setup.

Mill be using futaba for radio and still deciding on servos.
Thanks

Thanks Jason. Which mah size did you get with k100? Been debating if I should get the larger one or not to help with cg.
Im assuming you kept your tanks stock right?
thanks

I have 2 x 3000 mah 2s Rx lifepo and the Kingtech 2000 mah 2s Lifepo for ECU. I have used the standard tanks but also added a dubro 20 oz on the right side of engine as an extra which gives me 10 mins flying if i want it. I have not added any weight to balance it either. My engine tail cone is 30 mm forward of tailpipe. I added a pilot in my cockpit and final balance was done with batteries. There is room to move them forward if needed but it flies perfect the way it is.

Hey guys, I'm new to jets, and I want to add a secondary tank so I have brakes and retracts apart.
I'm not sure what to order so I can make this to work.
How can I close the hole in the manifold that goes to the break valve?
Thanks.

Hi jason
thanks for the support sir. I just realized I have $150 worth of in store purchases with drea works to consume. Wanted to know if you could share some parts I can get to improve my system? Maybe fittings, tube,UAT or valves?
i would hate to over engineer this process.

Thanks a bunch
taimoor

Hi Javier, you can leave a small amount of the tube on it and fold the tube and secure with lock wire or possibly a wheel collar. I have not had any problems with the fitted air system, this plane comes in so slow you hardly even need brakes on a sealed strip and do not need them at all on grass.

Hi taimoo, You could upgrade whatever you like. The things that came with mine i replaced are the control pushrods, the UAT and fuel line. I used 6 mm fuel line through out until i got to fuel pump then dropped back to 4 mm. I used festo fittings on my joins. The Retract valves and brake valve work fine. You should be able to get almost all your needs from them. Just a a hint pull the 3 landing struts apart if you have the new version with removable tips and check grease in them, mine was very sticky like honey and did not function properly. Had to clean out and re-lube, also needed stronger springs but i just used tygon tube inside springs on mine.

Hi all. I canīt make the electric retracts and the brakes work, only pushing the manual button.

Any ideas?

Using a 12 cannel spektrum receiver and a dx18.

No power box, Im connecting the brakes and gear directly from the ecu to the receiver.

I don't have a clue how to program that control box, sometimes all three lights are on sometimes just one (the red one).

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the basics.....
What brand / style are the retracts ?
What does the instruction book describe to hold programing ?
Pics of the ECU ?
