I received a set of 100 wing vortex generators for my A4 Skyhawk. They have a taper on one of the sides. I looked thorough all my reference magazines and I can't find if the taper faces forward or backwards. Can someone either send me a close up shot of the top side of the wing or tell me which way they face. Either tapered side forward or straight side forward.

I just looked at a photo I took while flying as a division lead in an A-4 the vortex generators are in the foreground and a little out of focus. but they look square to me.

In the real world, the A-4 vortex generators are rectangular, not tapered. That being the case, perhaps you should ask the manfacturer of the parts which direction they had in mind.

If you are interested in detailing the A-4 there was a write-up of something similar in one of the early RCJI magazine. I believe it was a JEt HANGAR A-4...very nice stuff.
