What an event!!
This show paralleled or exceeded Frank Tiano's FJ event. The big name pilots, vendors, Horizon Hobbies on-site 'store', demonstrations, spectators, after hours dinner.... etc.
Thank you Ray, Horizon Hobbies, Sandford Municipal airport and the 100+ volunteers for a most memorable event!

I want to thank Ray and his crew on a awesome weekend. It was my first experience of a large event with factory demo pilots. My hat goes off to the volunteers, always friendly and always willing to help and it couldn’t have been done without them. Thank you

Sounds like most had a great time. Attendance numbers hit the 17,000+ for the three days. Mother nature didn't help with some of the weather but all went off great. Thank you pilots for letting us try out this new event in your backyard. For me the highlight was the formation flight of Matt Chapman and his full scale Cap 580 and Quique with his 100cc Beast. It had to be seen to be believed.

RE: Maine Jet Rally
I wish to sincerely thank Horizon Hobby and the entire crew that hosted the Horizon Air Meet/ Maine Jet Rally this past weekend. The superb planning, organization and execution of this mega event will be remembered for years to come.
I especially appreciated the airshows which demonstrated numerous aspects of RC aeromodeling, besides jets. The full scale demos were fantastic and I feel that they did not intrude on the model jet time. Scheduling them in the late mornings or midday when the sun position was an issue for some jet jocks worked out well.
The hangar party and evening entertainment (including the night flying)were over the top. The following awards were also presented during the party:
Best Sport Jet = Jim BAKER with his CompARF 3DEurosport
Best Scale Jet = Jorge ESCALONA with his Airworld Hunter
Best EDF= Chris TRUMP with hisEVF conversion of the BVMAggressor II
TOP GUN = Frank ALVAREZ with his SMHawk 100 and Draken
I look forward to the many photos and numerous videos which were taken during the event.
Again, manythanks again to Team Horizon andall their volunteers that madethis event a resounding success.

RE: Maine Jet Rally
Here are few of mine. There were many activities going on including helicopters, control line combat, car and truck racing on a custom built track along with the flight demos and of course many jets.
