Default F-101 Voodoo

Hey guys, I got a Jean Guy Rochefort F-101 kit and am trying to find ut if anyone else has one that they have started to build or already built. His kit uses elevators where the real one had flying stabs. Has anyone converted to flying stabs? Any pics would be great.

Thanks
Doug

You can build it either way, and is shown on JG's cd. Is this new or from an older kit? He also has a new sport wing for it that makes it a little easier to fly. I'm still working on mine, bit by bit. I first thought EDF, but not now. Once I get to where the tail is done, I'll get Tam to make a pipe for it.

Hey Dan. I'm sure mine is one of the first ones he did, as I bought the kit from him in Jan 2005. I haven't looked at the CD with the kit yet, just glanced at the plans and saw it had an elevator. YOur build thread is great. Hope you get started back on it soon. what struts and retracts are you using? I'll be going with a turbine for power.

Yes, that is a nice Voodoo Mauro has built. One of JG's kits that went across the "pond".

Wayne - My kit is on hold because I met up with Jean Guy earlier this summer when I was in Quebec City, and he mentioned that he has a new set of wings that make this a better flying jet... more of a sport wing with a little more wing area, so I have halted any further work on my kit until I get these in hand and catch up to where I was with the previous set. I have sent him an email asking about any leftover kits laying around, as a buddy wants to build one as well. So I don't know if he will make any more... maybe if there is enough interest? His latest project is a very large Panther... flies great and I had a chance to see it at the Victoriaville airport.

I didn't know that!! I used to bike out to the base and hang on the fence for hours waiting for some 409 action!!

Dan, thanks....I'm interested, but not able at this time..I have 3 other jets to finish up first...

Me too , he helped paint the original hawk one. Somewhere I have a joystick out of one of them. He would go nuts if I built one of them.
