Bruno

Do you have a turbine now? What make do you know?
What turbines do people in your group fly?
What is best for sending stuff for service or repair? USA or Europe?

regards

Dave

OK!

Both are good turbines, I hear nothing bad about the Evojet, but personal choice is still JetCat.

How is the software on evojet compared to jet cat? Not saying jetcats is superior, but I don't think its a bad idea to buy a turbine that your friends own so they can help you if you have trouble setting it up.

Not as intuitive as JetCat...but I am bias towards JetCat. Its what you get used to.
Nothing bad with Evojet, just different to what I know.

I looked at the evojet, looks real nice and people say it accelerates like a piston engine.

My only issue is that the guy sincityjet has a "all other turbines are stupid and useless asside from evojet" attitude and it rubbed me the wrong way. I'm sure he was just proud of his brand and perhaps I took it the wrong way...

So far I like my jetcat and Kingtech, Kingtech is great running turbine for the money and I run it on straight disel which is cheap and readily available.

My Vote: Stick with Jetcat or go with King Tech

I've owned the latest JetCats, EvoJet, and Kingtech turbines. All have run great. I lean towards JetCat because IMO, Bob Wilcox at JetCat is the gold standard for customer service in this hobby. Barry at Kingtech has been very good as well and has gone above and beyond for me. EvoJet service is in Germany, which is great for Europeans, but not so much for Americans. With that said, I've never had a single issue with my EvoJet engines.

we have both!
they are both working just fine.
we had an issue with the jetcat 160 kero start and it took 4 month turn around repairing time [:@].
now, with another issue to repair in the engine we are waiting almost two month and still counting [:@].
we had an issue with the evojet turbine ecu, and two or three phone calls to arno, evojet owner, helped us
to determine the problem. one week later the post office man came with an envelope which a new ecu was inside.
THIS IS WHAT I CALL SERVICE!!!!
I'm speaking about jetcat in Germany not in the U.S. !
I have no experience with KT (but I have an intention to buy the new 180 in the future) but from my friends experience it is very fast and good.
We have experience with AMT NL and wren turbines, also first class service.
All the above is based on our self experience, so maybe you'll hear some other different opinions.

Good luck
Avi

Bruno,
We (my partner and I) very much like the way which whenever you have a problem
with the turbine you have a relationship with the manufacture, you can call him even with a small issue...
With JC in Germany it is almost impossible, with the others we only had to make the phone call to get in touch
with the manufacture.
Again, this is based on our experience which is for now not so good with JC Germany,
and again, maybe other have much better experience with them.

I have both the Evo 180 VX (did have a 160VX), own a P-100RX and have a 180RX arriving in a week or so. I equally love them both and the service if needed is spectacular from both companies.

You will be happy with either choice...both are winners!
