RE: F-100 build from plans
Not much to the plans. The wings are joined by two plywood spars. Not clear but there must be a belly pan. Not clear how to put the wing on and take it off. Starting reading the instructions that came with it. Haven't figured it out yet.

Hi all, this is part of the video coverage I promised. The dvd recorder crashed during the transcript so rather than waiting for the involvement of my pal to re-record the video to dvd, and my son to re-post on you tube I thought I would post what I have and try again later. These shots are of Art Johnsons' original test flights.

Thanks for posting the video Ron! I enjoyed it very much, Surprizing how slow the plane can land. Looked very stable in flight. Will make a very good turbine conversion I think. Its in line to go on my building board soon.

Harry I don'y know how scale the model is but I imagine it is quite accurate. It would be easy for someone with the model dimensions to compare to the full size. Ron.

Just checked the model wing span and fuse length against the full scale. Pretty close to the stated scale of 1:8.4. So the wings are not larger.

Hi all this is the full video I promised. It is a bit hesitant at first but it is all there, with all the set up details and maiden flight. Ron

Thanks for that Ron, it's like looking at another world now, video cameras and model technology have moved on so much.
My plans ordered early october have still not arrived, hope they haven't got lost forever somewhere in the postal system.

Thanks for the video Ron. I enjoyed it. Will come in handy when I build mine and go to fly it. Good set-up info in there.
Started watching the other video from Damiano. Very nice plane. Great to see scratch built projects like these.

RE: F-100 build from plans
Bob- I plan to go to Joyce. Not sure which day yet. Probably Sunday. My brothers want to go shooting at the gun club Saturday. Unless they bail out. Your invited if you would like to go. Let me know. My F-20 is undergoing surgery for implanting servos in the wings and vertical stab. I'll be flying my back-up plane, the Jackal. I'm about ready to but the laser cut parts for the F-100 and get started on it. Looking forward to it after seeing the videos.

RE: F-100 build from plans
3 months after placing the order the plans have still not arrived, sent them 2 emails asking just for confirmation that they posted them but got no reply, so have started action with credit card to recover the cost. [] I had been looking forward to both the plane and the build project.

Harry- You may want to give them a call. They may be more responsive to a phone conversation than an e-mail. The lady I spoke to over the phone was very helpful when I called and got my plans out very quickly afterwards.

Harry, see the last post here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1796034 Sounds like a computer virus shredded their order book.

Thanks for that Gordon, had a good read! However, since I replied to their email order confirmation twice, each time with copy of their order documentation, they can't pretend any longer they have no nowledge of the order, and they do not reply to the emails. Maybe the credit card reversal this week will get their attention!

RE: F-100 build from plans
FYI,
For those like me who have ordered and paid for plans from RCM Plans Service for this plane, and still after many weeks, don't have any plans. I found this on Ebay #200894665061 for $3.00. I usually do not support people who violate copyrights or trademarks, but in this case, I have paid the proper owners, but they have not delivered. I want to move forward, so I did. I thought I would relay the option to others so they can make up their own minds.
Regards,
James
