Default Fan unit for .25 size engine

Does anyone make a fan unit that would work on a standard side exhaust .25??

Thanks
John

There are no fan units for any side exhaust engine available, period. Your best bet is a ducted propellor.

You should be able to use the Kress fan as long as the header for your engine is tight fitting to the engine and doesn't stick out alot. The header is the key, not the fan.

Actually, the header plays no role in .21 DF performance with a SIDE exhaust engines if the engine cannot turn at a minimum of 23k rpm.
If you can find a .21 side exhaust engine that will turn the Kress fan at 23k rpm, then you can start worrying about what exhaust system (that will allow 23k operation) to use.

I am unaware of a .21 side exhaust engine that qualifies....

Correct, the engine performance is a requirement. But to state there are no fans suitable for a side exhaust engine without knowing what engine the original poster has is erroneous. He could have an OS. 25 VF (not DF), which is a rear exhaust engine, but not have any real performance since it's ported for prop use. For all we know he has a hot side exhaust car engine which would easily turn any appropriately sized fan he can find.
