Amazing pieces of engineering :-)

What does the spark kit weigh in at empty? I've seen a wide variation of weights from diffrent forums. Also whats it selling for now days?

Dave I'll be watching this thread with great interest. Daniel told me about this setup at E-Jets. He also told about the fitment of the fan so take a lot of photos.

Nice Dave.  Do these have one of the 650kv motors or the 700kv motor?  How many cells do you guys plan to use, 12 or 14?

These are awesome fans.  I was flying them before I joined the Schubeler USA team.  I have the 1st generation of the DS-77 in a Ziroli Panther and the 2nd generation of the DS-94 in Flying Legends Hawker Hunter.  I have a 2M Viperjet on the way to me that will get the 700kv version of the DS-77.

Good luck with the build.

Guys

Kirk, 650kv motors, probably 12s to start.

Henke, I would need to weigh them as I have never really bothered...as you cannot change it!. Moulded aeroplane with everything to a minimum, my memory with 11s 5000's is a little over 5kg. I use a PB Digi Switch and 2s 730mAh Rx li-Po and this gives a days flying, Springair retracts and no brakes...

I now have to decide which of my two Sparks I'll update. Rob Westwater will also convert his Spark.

Bob, Maybe, but ever helpful Christian says 100A on 12s and 120A on 14s. The spark will need some serious re configure for 14s. Will see how the balance is with the bigger heavier fan
