you can use two LIFE with a powerbox and have redundancy
http://powerbox-systems.com/e/powerb...tion/start.php

6V to each servo
5v to receiver
signal amplifier for each servo to avoid loss from long extensions
real two battery redundancy

...my 2c

I've been running 6030's on A123 batteries for a year now.

I don't know what brand of LiFe batts you are running but mine are never much over 6.6v off the charger. For me the beauty of LiFe is you don't need a regulator, so one less failure point. There is no reason to reduce your Rx to 5v, unless it is an unusual brand. If you want redundancy you can always go with 2 switches to separate Rx ports, even with Y harness if needed.

I have one of those in my Rave 90 Heli, only one though, in the heli I use the Deans T plug because of the high current. In my Electra I have a pair of that brand with lower capacity. I got 12" balance extensions from Progressive RC as the Electra batts are far forward. I use two JR HD switches. Those Batteries have a lot of connectors. I didn't use the Deans T plug in the Electra. So for each battery one servo plug lead goes to the switch and then on to the Rx, the other servo plug lead has a 12" extension and is free for charging, and the balance plug has the standard HX (I think?) 12" extension for balancing. BTW, always loved your Avatar!
