Default Making removable nose cone.

I think the best technique to finish a lightweight jet would be to install all items, then figure how much weight you need at the furthest forward point (nose), & order the lightest set of dual life batts to go with the turbine batt & achieve balance. to be extra safe & remove batts for charging, a removable nose cone would be nice. Anyone have a good technique for this?

Default RE: Making removable nose cone.

If your focus is on light weight, then my intuition tells me that making a removable nose cone on a jet that wasn't originally designed for that would result in more weight than just arranging the receiver and ECU batteries in the space allotted. With some innovation and planning, they probably can be put in a place that makes them removable for charging, although with the A123s and LiFe receiver packs, I don't think most folks are overly concerned.

Gus
