Default CARF Eurofighter Scale Exhaust Project

Made a day of this project with my friend Chris Rieter. We took a look at the turkey feathers on the tail of the Euro and decided to make some detailed nozzles. These scaled out quite nice and they are easy to build. He will offer them as a kit if your interested PM Strato Tanker for a set. The rear bulkhead is new and meant for a bifrucated exh. pipe. With some rework if desired you can adapt them to a single pipe probably.
These will get a coat of heat resistant paint inside. The wood grain will be sealed and painted outside. There is a lot of ventilation around the pipe and the nozzles.

The look of the Euro is more complete with a proper set of AB cans!

Thanks,
These are cut in 0.08mm plywood but yes it can be made in G10/fiberglass. This material is what I had on hand so we made these work.

PM me with your info and I will pass it along to Chris.

I did a simular design some while ago for my small Eurofighter which also features a variable nozzle controlled by a servo pulling a thin wire wrapped around the flaps. Not ready for production yet and I do not know if it will work. A 90mm size would weigh about 40grams.

Yes its very tempting to make these kinds of things work.
For EDF there could be some benefit but for turbine you only get a functional detail that is very subtle. That is of course unless your willing to make a full functional AB and nozzles.

Subtile yes, but so is gear doors, cockpit, missiles and much more of the "styling" :-)

This is a Tams pipe, nice quality and light weight. He will make one to your order still I believe just tell him what turbine your using.
