This was the first time I have attended this event and i don't think it will be the last. First off i have to give a Big Thank you to Vernon, Dawn, Dennis, Bob O and the whole crew that puts on this event and makes it one of the most enjoyable and laid back times anyone could ever have.
I had a great time hanging out with Buck, Ad Clark, Dave ''Ozzie'' Evans and my good buddy George Kreyling who flew in from Arizona just to come and hang with us. I also have to say thanks to Randy who supplied us with dinner on wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.
Last but not least we all really need to thank Michelle for letting all of us invade the airport just so we can have this much fun at this wonderful flying facility.
Thanks again Vernon and all the people that put on this Event!!!!!!!!!!!

What's up with this. Just drove in to the jet rally site, no one is here :-(. Where did everyone go? I guess I'll just pick up my toys in the morning and go home.

RE: Mississippi Afterburner
We just completed our 2800 mile trip in our new to us RV. Let me tell you Mississippi Afterburner is AWESOME!!! Special thanks to Vernon, Dennis, Bob O, and Michelle for hosting/putting on this great event. Hinds College student’s ROCK.
Even with a tire blow out in Dallas, getting lost in the country, the raining and cold weather (I could see my breath) did not diminish how much fun we had at his event. We met and made many new friends "Remember what happens in Mississippi stays in Mississippi".
I managed to get in about 10 flights on Saturday, a personal record, plus the 2 on Thursday. I had other stuff to fly, but the weather put a little damper on that. Randy Brown and crew, thanks for all the great food it was top notch.
We even participated and enjoyed the Mudbugs on Saturday. Yummy.
Dreamworks RC thank you for having the parts to fix my retracts, I do not think I could repeat the two gear down landings and then popping out the other main for a great landing much longer.
Buck and Dave thanks for helping to break up the long drive with the laughs through some of Texas.

Man,, I wish I could have come. I'll be missing MS for awhile. Unless they change the dates from Top Gun. Looks like I'm gonna be going to that for the next few years. MS was my very first jet rally. It will always be my favorite.

Finally made it home this evening. Had a great time although my little teddy bear was a little pissed. He'll get over it. He really missed me, I think.
Vernon, this is for you. Talked to Michelle Monday, according to Michelle, the afterburner is not married to that date. It can be moved a week or two earlier but not later. One week earlier would make my life a whole lot easier and less expensive. I could go to the Afterburner then head to Top Gun for the next week. It would save Scott my airfare and save me from having to rent car. Also maybe Randy wouldn't be around saving him from backing into my rent car. I also wouldn't have to get up Sunday morning at 4:30 to catch a 6AM flight to Florida.

Well, by all means change the date !!! We certainly can't have Bob'o inconvenienced like this again... What were ya'll thinking ?? Go ahead and arrange for the sun to rise in the west while your at it.
