Default Soften ROBART nose gear

The spring in my 7/16"dia. ROBART nose gear is way too stiff.
Anyone who knows where to get a softer spring that fits?

Thomas,
You could just cut a few twists off then stretch the spring to the same length, this will soften it up.

Tried the shortening/stretching method, however it got softer but not to my liking. I´ll try to see if I can get a thinner spring.
Thanks

Go to your hardware store( U.S.A.) (Ace or Home Depot), take your spring as a sample ,length / diam. and find a spring with thin wire (more turns / inch),next measure your spring ,and cut (w/dremel) in half, complete the original length w/the softer spring, install the old spring first a washer next and the new spring. by doing this ,you get shock absorbing w/out bottom out this works for me

Thanks Geronimo
Sounds like a great idea.
I´ll give it a try.
