I have installed this aurora light module in my FB MB 339, i have 7 lights on it.. Landinglight, 3 times position lights, 2 flashes, and a beacon. I have an futaba mz14 with a 6014HS receiver. The light modules tx cabel is connected to Chanel 13 (DG1).
I can get lights to turn on and off, but i would like the landing light to turn off, when I retract the undercarriged into the plane, and this function I can't get? Does anybody use this modul, with that setup, to turn off the landinglights, when undercarriged retracted, and the other lights still on?
Kind Regards

You can use a HobbyKing electronic switch http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...d_Switch_.html that plugs into a rx channel. Assign that channel to your landing gear switch. Is DG2 unused?

This is with a FUTABA TX and JetCat ECU (THR/Trim down at -135, max thrust at +100) Ldg CH up at -52%, down at +53% (servo actuated BVM valve))
Use TX servo monitor to see what's happening (+/-). I've programmed it as follows. With 3-pos SW as master LGT control.(LGT SW) Values in bold referes to values for the LGT CH.
Starting position: LGT SW up + Ldg SW in "down pos" and T3 +T3 trim down.
LGT CH at end pos all OFF -100
THR trim full up moves LGT CH one step= anti coll. ON -35
LGT SW middle pos.- LGT CH two steps= anti coll. + position lgts ON +65
LGT SW down pos.- LGT CH three steps=anti coll. + position lgts + ldg lgt ON +135
Ldg SW in "up pos"- LGT CH goes back to "two steps" +75
mix1 Master LGT/Slave LGT - EXP 1 - Rate A -90% - Rate B 0% Activates to ON w/LDG SW in "UP" pos.
mix2 Master T3/Slave LGT - Linear - Rate A 0% - Rate B -65% Activates to ON w/THR passing -120 (T3 trim passes mid pos on its way up)
Program the Aurora at a point slightly prior the values above, i.e. e.g. anti coll. ON at -30. That makes every change distinct and the module is never in daught that "trigger" point is reached. You can program the Aurora by just connecting it to THR CH and moving T3+T3 trim to the values needed and push the "programming" button to save setting.
Then make all the mixes, re-check with servo monitoring for LGT CH and finally connect the Aurora to the assigned LGT CH.
For me it's a "natural flow" of lighting and you switch landing lights on prior T/O, these lights are extinguished automatically by retracting gear, you only have to switch them off after landing.
Hope it makes sense.
Thomas
