While setting up I always disconnect the gear plug from the PowerBox to avoid any accidents but while setting up the rudder to avoid the nose wheel steering working I put the gear switch to retract, saves dry steering the nose etc... as I have put the usual mix on the gear.

It flew and flew well 
We had an issue with the retract servo so avoid any future reoccurrence it will get a standard JR579. The JR DMSS and XG14 performed flawlessly and I'll no doubt I'll be changing over to this system when JR bring out their new high end DMSS transmitter. The Jets Munt 160K went very well and the model took off on 3/4 power then grooved around nicely. Toby flew it very well... its so smooth to watch identical in presentation to the Airworld version.
A good end to an enjoyable build.

Cool, is he bunking work again to do CJ on friday? Surprised on the retracts as UP valves have no load. With small movement next time go with a much shorter arm. The UP 6 brake valve needs a lot more push, so i'd swap that, shorten the arm to 10mm radius and put the 579 on brakes!

Not sure about CJ, I think he used his day off up on today...
Perhaps you should have a look when you see it. I've not used these valves for a long time. My first thought was the geometry was wrong but when I investigated the valve was very stiff which I think just burned the servo out. We checked everything except the gear before the maiden. It had not been used for a few weeks. Do they have a propensity to go stiff or should it be lubricated? It's much better now...

OK, will talk to him when he drops the 180 off. Not stiff, they can stick with the Dow grease, but normally not tight. I guess this is a geometry situation where the added radius reduces the torque available.
Lubing is not an option, people ruin UP valves with silicon oil!

Will do my best to enjoy a day out of the office playing toy jets...not sure I will be able to though thinking of all the poor people who have to work ;-)
