Pretty scarey setup! I don't know why anyone would use nylon straps for something like this. At least have some chains attached to it. Also - none of the straps are in line - they are all at different angles. Who did the calcs for this load???
Quite right. The loads with rearward accel will snap those cables and chains easily. For maximum hold the straps need to be at a shallow angle and evenly streched. If one lets go the whole thing could unzip.
