We would love having some people from the US attend a future event. Transportation to Chile is not an issue since we have direct flights to Santiago from Miami, Atlanta, Dallas, New York and Los Angeles. Airlines and local customs didn't have problem with the transportation and allowing the planes into the country.
Santiago is a very nice city and you can enjoy of some nice extra activities. Some of this year participants decided to stay for an extra week in order to enjoy some of the ski resorts, wineries and salmon fishing in the south of the country.

Very kind Tilaco, thanks! We also had a lot of luck with the weather, as after 4 great days, monday rained heavily in Santiago.
We also where lucky in the flights, zero crashes during the event, and the only mishaps where bent landing gears from some pilots wich found somewhat difficult to land their jets piloting at the headings.
The only crash happened when a brand new F-4 was test flown (wisely) after the end of the event. The cause of the crash was a builder error in the elevator linkage.. sad to see but fortunately he understood his mistake and bet that he will never make it again.

Thanks Jose I´ll be there for sure.
One nice thing that also happened in the official dinner at saturday, in wich we had a raffle (some lucky guy won a flash kit, from Andreas, among other stuff from Jet Central ) is that Mr. Emmerich from powerbox systems asked me if I could translate at the dinner a letter from Winfried Ohlgart of the IWJM in Portuguese and Spanish to the public. After reading the content I got nervous!
I am far from being a good speaker but, as we didn´t have a better option of translator (LOL) I readed it and people liked the news very much. I think that this was the best compliment the modelers of CACH, Chile ,Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela from South America and specially Manoel can possible receive.. here is a copy of the letter:
