Battery for Jetcat ECU

What kind of batteries can be used with a Jetcat ECU. My STP5 turboprop came with a 2 cell 7.4 V Lipo battery but I was wondering if I could use a 9.9 V Life battery.
The reason for asking is that I use this 9.9 V Life batteries in all my other Jetcentral turbines and it would be nice to be able to just have one type of batterie in order to standardize.

I'm using three 2300 mAH A123's from Electrodynamics in a Kingcat. Two for the receiver, and one for the ECU. Ten servos (eight digital) are pulling approximately 500 mAH per eight minute flight, giving me two to three flights with a comfortable safety margin.

Today I was able to check my ECU and noticed that it doesn't have the option of using Life..... Just a 2 cell Lipo and a Nicad. Could it be because my turbine is not kerostart ?

You can go into the ecu and change the number of cells. Im running a 3 cell A123 . The ECU comes back from Jetcat with instructions on how to adjust the number of cells in the ecu

JetCat USA modified one of my ECUs earlier this year to run on a 3 cell A123. The instructions that came back with it said to set it to 8 cell NiCad, which is pretty close to the same voltage as a 3 cell A123.

I recently shopped for a LiFe battery replacement for my P80SE, and they were extremely hard to come about. I decided to buy a 7.4 LiPo that Dreamworks carries. It is a ROAR certified package by Exceed R/C (for R/C cars). It comes on a very hard case, which in my opinion is far more robust than the packages we are used to.
I like it so far. LiPo is goo stuff for kero starts, but they do need careful handling.
