I will send some pictures later... About the electric retracts if i may, we have tested all brands and found that the motors can burn easily if everything is not 100% all the time. This is not possible in our world of jets with various standers applied by various pilots and various landing skills. If it was controlled like full size with SID's it would be perfect. But Skymaster is not willing to open this can of worms and start replacing retracts that failed. I bet it will never be operator problem but 100% Skymaster problem.

On smaller jets with low wing loading's and less torque it is less problem-some...

I just want to know a hole size .
I have been using electron retracts on various models and have never had any problems .
I have also had may jets of skymaster and have never had problems with any of there products .
They also have given me great service .
If you want to change to electric that is an option for the owner to do , thats fine with me .

Been really looking at this plane. I have a K-180G, is that enough to hover, or at least do slow high alpha passes?

Hello Jay.

A 180 will fly the jet nicely. It wont hover it as you need well over 1 to 1 thrust to weight but you can achieve good hi alpha flight with it .

As Jeff noted, it will fly nicely with a 180 but you'll definitely need more thrust to hover (likely 50+ pounds). That said the K-180G will hover the Avanti S 2.0m/79" version with thrust to spare.

Thanks guys, I think if I choose this model it will be the XXL all composite. I will just fly high alpha stuff until I decide to get a big-block. I figure with a head wind I could probably get walking pace high alphas with the 180. Any idea how much altitude it would take to recover a high-alpha harrier with a 180? 10 feet or so, or will I be able to just fly out with (guessing) .7 to 1 power to weight?
thanks, Jay

looking really good! I think this plane is going to be a HUGE success. I would like to recommend a little more blue in the T-Bird scheme like in this UB, or the Flash Jet. Also some drop tanks. The XXL has beautiful line & the extra schemes are looking awesome

Thanks looking forward to seeing my scheme. Just a small change with a different color but will really stand
out. I guess even with 50lbs of thrust I will still not be able to hover it if I want smoke, oh well thats what my 3D planes are for.

b300f 72 lbs of thrust,,,, would only be hoverable at 2nd half the fuel tank though, so around 45 ish lbs.
