Default Need help plumbing a Kevlar tank

I have a Kevlar tank, actually two, from a skymaster viper. I was going to use air power fittings but am unsure how to glue them in and what to put on the threads, if anything. Your advise is always first rate.

Sorry it seems I can't post a picture........[>:]

You will want to give the area you are going to apply the fitting on the tank a light sand. I use hysol to glue the fitting. Do not use anything on the tread as you have an o ring that does the sealing.

Justflying,
How about the threads on the small nipples? Hysol in the vent nipple also?
Thanks for the quick reply

No don't use hysol there. You can use Teflon tape on the nipple.

I think I'll try that.
Thanks

+1 as Sean suggested. Teflon tape only used on small pick up nipple if it has not got o ring.

I also scuff the aluminum ring that is being glued to the tank.

One other thing to remember is that after its all done pressure test the tank to check for leaks. Much easier to fix now if there is a leak than when inside the plane with electronics fitted. If you don't know how to do this just read up my Mig -29 put together tread (build tread) and I explain it in there.
