I have a chance to pick up a NIB 94 inch Fly Eagle Jets A-10. Everything is there, and the price is awesome, but with all the negative press they've had of late, I thought I pick your brains a little! It is the " honeycomb" construction. While this seems to be the issue structurally with their jets, I've not heard anything negative about their A-10. SO....anybody have any thoughts/ experience with this kit?

Should not be a problem. Go for it!! Ignore the bad press. The honeycomb issues are only related to the F-14s, F-16s, Hawk, F-18's, A7's. You should be fine. You can make it work for sure.
Please have someone take a video of the maiden.

Kim, do you really think the A-10 is built better than the rest of their junk??? You're going to end up losing $9k in engines, electronics and assorted other stuff when it folds up just so, you can save a few bucks on an airframe? Makes no sense to even consider the plane, there's so much info available on this company's poor performance record.
I hope it's cheap$ because you can hardly give away an FEJ airframe right now.

I have the original layup version (not honeycomb) and it has been flown at KY Jets for the last 3 years. It flies like a cub while in the air. That said, mine weighs 71 pounds wet and is LTMA-1 certified. There is a trade off for structural integrity vs weight at least partially. The balance should be in design.
