I am building a 90mm Turbinator from Laser Design. I plan on powering it with a P-20. I will be flying off a grass field and would like to know if anyone has built one and if this is enough power?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I flew my buddy's on a paved runway. It flew great. I don't think it would have any problem flying off of grass. I know some guys are flying habu's powered by a p-20 off of grass and it's a good big heavier.

Yes. LDS took the Turbinator-E, and enlarged it to a 50" wing.
Personally... I think the regular "E" should be flown on the P-20... and the new "90mm" should be flown with a Kolibri 30/35 or an MW-44. AND... the 83% Turbinator, should be flown on a 60 sized engine.

You will need about 4 or 5 sheets of 1/16" balsa to sheet the wings and miscellaneous sticks to construct the fin and stab. You probably have enough material laying around your shop if you have built anything lately.

But, that doesn't sound bad. I bought a short kit about 20 years ago, (20% Decathlon) and I swear that I doubled the price of the kit buying everything else. Basically the kit I got was just the ribs and the formers.
I sent an email to LDS a day or so, ago... but I hadn't heard back from them.
Post up some pics of your build. I have a Wren 44 in a CMP T-45, and it's fun. But, I would like something a little more stable. (T-45's have a nasty habit of snap stalling)

I have one. Framed up. The upsized plans left some to be desired but I think so far its turned out ok. Perhaps Ill finally finish it this year. I have a T25 for it. I weighed all parts and it was around 5.5 pounds but it needs wing sheeted and monokote.
