Amazing
Yesterday Gyro set up
It helps for more precisely rolls, but not nesesary for this plane

Hello
Yesterday during my third flight, while climbing in a straight line for about 10 seconds, the turbine was turned off by fuel
fortunately I was able to land it without problems.
What could have happened?
I have a K160G with the tank in 3 parts of Krill.
When I landed I saw that the UAT was half empty and the main tank with 1/3 of fuel

Firstly, I would check to see that your clunk moves freely at all attitudes.
If you haven’t done so already, I would recommend using a high flow felt clunk in the main tank. They are very effective in preventing air from entering the air trap, particularly with tanks that have a flat bottom.
The main tank that you have installed holds 3.7L of fuel and 1.9L of smoke oil, which in my opinion is marginal (3.7L) for a K160G. I would connect the second 1.9L tank, or for simplicity purchase a larger (5.6L) main tank. CMJETS has a few options available.
It's a nice flying jet!

how it was
now corrected
thanks for your answer yesterday
Finally found the problem yesterday night.
Absolutely my mistake
I didn’t know that I need to do a different way (as I always did) for all my prop planes with the clunk.
yesterday after searching in the net, found a picture and remembered the 2 copper tubes that comes with the kit.
So!!
Now corrected!
Would be a good idea to ask Krill to have a little manual on how to assemble the fuel tank.
I never found it anywhere
Thanks again

Maiden done and flameout with the jetmunt 166, certainly due to too long air vent, 60cm tygon tube and connexion of main tank to fumi with 50cm tygon.....big mistake.
a big impact and all front of the fuse broken and one wing, already fixed but lot of job...

I see the last post is some time ago, but I am hoping someone out there can assist me with my question non-the-less.
I am busy building this jet and when it comes to the Turbine position, the JetCat manual suggests the space be 75mm, however, there is a label on the thrust tube that says the spacing must be 45mm. What spacing do I use and what are the consequences if the incorrect spacing is used?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply, could you perhaps drop an illustration? Do you know what effects can be expected if too close or too far away from the correct position?

If XS 1.9m with k102 comes around 7.4kg dry, with 2L fuel 9kg, and is flown ok with k85 (online vids)
would this S 2.3m then with an k102 and 2.5L tank be ok? lightly build...
no hover or 3D, looking for a slow flying, slow landing model as a third - 'carefree' jet (have scale Mb339 and Mig21 already...)
thanks

My Feedback: (16)
I recently completed a 1/5th scale Vampire. This is the only turbine jet I have with a large bell on the tail pipe. I mentioned this to a friend that has a large bell opening on his jets and he said i should make sure the outlet of my turbine exhaust is at least 25mm inside the bell. He told me if I didn't set it this way, I might get a large whistle when flying or the turbine might overheat, Hope this helps.

Hi,
I do like Avanti's!
I am completing an XS (1.9m) version. I have two questions:
1. Is there a better way to hold the wings on compared to the thru bolt in the end of the carbon spar? Getting the bolts holes lined up is proving to be a real bugger.
2. Is down elevator needed with flap deployment? The smaller Avanti's didn't need it.
Thanks

On my Avanti XS I hold each wing on with an 8-32 bolt through the root rib in the fuselage, into the wing root rib (I added some ply to stiffen the wing rib and the fuse rib). Its a little fiddly to install the bolt going through each wheel well but I like it better than the original method.
Regarding flaps down, it takes hardly any trim on the elevator.
