That's exactly what I used on my SM 1/8th F16 wings and it worked great. I have hundreds of flights on it after the foam treatment years ago. It was so soft and flexible that I worried about the airfoil changing shape in flight. It's still stiff and strong as ever.

If you can control the outer mold line and you can afford the extra weight in the tail end of your aircraft then I say this is a fine idea as a quick rigid fix, but seeing how most can't control the OML in the event of an over pour, or loss of venting during the curing process due to a unforeseen blockage withing the surface, and weight gain in the tail is generally a poor idea due to that leverage arm thingy all the way back there. So with that said, I still see this as a what not to do scenario especially for those souls that are not so mechanically inclined looking for a simple inexpensive solution to the current dilemma within their flight surface, but then again... There is nothing like getting a million dollar education shoved up your $%# a penny's worth at a time. Happy fixing.

I have used this foam method in several of my planes. Mostly gassers, but 2 jets as-well. Never had deformation of the wing panels. Strengthens the wings up rock solid.

Use it where it is needed. Leading edges..around the wing tube is great. From some of the replies on here you would swear they think your filling the entire wing with it.lol. What it does is help disperse stress move evenly threw out the entire wing instead of having Point pressure on just one or two parts etc.

And Yes I have used Great Stuff.. it works...well... GREAT!

Here's a tip for you guys that use Great Stuff weather it be for your planes or around the home. We all know how if you use a tiny bit and then dont need to use it again for a while that the valve seals up hard and you cant get the can to spay anymore even though its full. (what a waist of money eh!) Well all you have to do when your finished, is to take the trigger off and pour some acetone in the nozzle on the can. Swirl it around and let dry up-side down and it will be ready to use the next time you need it.
