Guys, I've been working on my diamond. I recently got a Prusa I3 MK3S 3d printer and I'm having a blast using it for this build. All i have left is to mount the turbine and finish up a couple of last minute small items. Enjoy!

Also added some 3M Vinyl Carbon Fiber strips to protect the underside of the wing tip scrapes. Its a lot easier to replace the vinyl then repaint when you get a scrape.

I do like the 3D printed stuff, and I have some progress with the diamond

,got the overflow stuff to the side not to underbody like my first one this will be much easier to operate ,the big wings make it so difficult to get to them and unplugged the overflow taxi tank.

Sysiek, I've been following your thread! Your build looks good! I'm happy to say that my turbine install and all plumbing is done. Next on the agenda is to get my Xicoy CG machine and determine what batteries I need to get her to balance.

Hey buddy don’t waist your money on one of those things they just don’t work as so people are saying the best way to balance this jet is to use like a 4’ off rope, let me see if I could find some pictures from the off my buildings.

So look this is the best cg machine know to man and always work and always work, you can use bigger servo round arm with some soft backings, hope the pictures will explain everything and maybe this will cost you nothing and will work better than other expensive stuff,I did prove it compared to other stuff to be much better.

Sysiek, I don't know what your experience has been but I love mine. I've had it for 4 plus yrs and balance all of my turbines with it. When it first came out, Ultimate Jets did a great manual on how your suppose to use it. When I let other club members borrow mine I use the analogy that it's nothing but a calculator, crap in equals crap out!!! If you aren't detailed on getting your exact measurements, then don't buy it!!!!!! A lot of individuals don't really have the patience use it. I've pm'ed many forum members on the dangers of trying to use other peoples numbers. If you aren't willing to get your own measurements, then this really isn't for you. But for those of use who are detailed, then they will love it!!!! If it's ok for full size then its probably ok for models. Lastly, with any method that you use to CG, I always recommend a final check using a friend to help lift it as the CG. It helps ensure that you haven't fat fingered something!

Also, I do love your string idea, that will allow me to check my CG machine a lot easier now! Thanks for the suggestion!!!

yes you’re absolutely right about that ,but some people are getting the cg machine and they don’t know what they doing,I just trying to help make it the easier way,so to edition to what I’m using I have special lift from the ceiling and extra made handles with the scale if needed to do something outside at the field to check the weight to make sure that the model doesn’t need the large model waiver.

Well I'm happy to report that my build is officially done. For those of you who's interested my dry weight ended up at 43.37lbs (19.67kg) (that's ready to fly with only fuel in the UAT). Below are the final pics of the radio tray and lipos up front. She'll be maiden in 2020 once we start getting better weather. Happy Holidays!!!

Did you achieved the ch with just the batteries or you need to add some led weights, I will post the final weight tomorrow I’m out for work, I do like the 3D printed stuff a lot and the razed floor , I did my install lower so I could do the cockpit I have all the stuff to do one but not sure if I’m going to do it.

This is the red one I have and I did the razed floor and painted it to look like carbonfiber And it’s power by the IQ hammer 200+ , so expect yours to be fast.

Hey buddy make sure that the screws will not push the canopy to open or make it weak don’t cut it maybe just drill some holes to work with the screws and install the bvm canopy hooks to hold the canopy they like to flyaway don’t ask how I know that.

As always, thanks for the advice! Also, yes had to add lead to achieve my CG. Similar to what's indicated in the manual.

Happy to report that I was finally able to maiden mine today! She flies great and feels very similar to the Mini Diamond that I had! Looking forward to getting more time with her.

Here is an old video of the Diamond flying target #1 high speed pass with on-board camera.
This configuration is with full bypass, gear doors and no belly grills.
Top speed is between 500 and 550 km/h in dive depending on the amount of fuel on board.
