Default SMC or FESTO push in fittings

Is there any perticular reason that hardly no one uses SMC fittings? Just wondering. Thanks

Hi

Both brands are great. I use both.

Festo - fittings are slightly smaller, fuel manual valve is also smaller, y and T barbed fittings are great

smc - PU tube is better and as wider colour choice, flow regulators are great, pressure gauges are smaller than Festo (15mm), air filters, no barbed fittings avalable

So depending on use, both brands are great

Another source for this type of fitting is Poweraire.com. Their fittings are for pneumatic applications and not rated for fluids. I use them extensively with really good results. Check them out. I am in no way associated with Poweraire; just a very satisfied customer.

SMC are fine, I use their sealing disconnect fittings for the off board gas connection
on all my planes. I'm no 'brand worshiper', I use Festo as well. - John.
