3D printing is very impressive.. even if metal printers wouldn´t be available soon for the average guy, wonder who will be the first to print a nice and big flying scale model using this kind of tech.

I am working with a global supplier right now on using Electron Beam Melting technology. We are very far from growing a functional turbine, but I am making a real engine parts that will fly in a year or so. Small steps. Most of the stuff you see actually has as much machining as a traditionally machined part, but this is changine very rapidly. Titanium, CRES, Inco.....lost of good materials available.

Not printing turbines but I do print cool things up to almost 1m³. I made this as a demo, a Tetris cube inside a clear ball
