Default Adapting skylite tires to yellow aircraft wheels

I have been asked by allot of people how I changed out the soft foam tires to the Sullivan skylite wheels. I will go over the steps here. This is for the F22 wheels but im sure you can do the same for the other planes also.

I used a whole saw to drill out the wheels to the same inside diameter as the yellow tires. I used a piece of wood to keep the tire from rotating while I drilled it. This way it is supported all the way around so you get a nice clean cut that is pretty balanced. Thats pretty much it.

These tires will make it around 75 to 100 flights. The yellow foam tires on a real hot day in Florida will flat spot in 1 flight on the black top in the summer. Not sure on the big F18 if this will work or not but I have herd it does on the F15.

Hope this helps
