I have had one for about 6 years and love it. I have many many flights on it. Mine has a P-70 and flies great on it. I think a P-60 would be a bit lacking for this jet especially if you put any stores on it. Mine has 6 of the 2.75" rockets on it and that adds a lot of drag. (see my avatar). I did not make the body flaps or speed brakes operational on mine to save weight and reduce complexity and it is a great every day flyer. Hope that helps.

Approx 3 yrs. ago I saw a Panther fly at Ft. Collins with a 12lb thrust engine. It flew very scale like. I don't think it was a PST but weighed approx. 25lbs at take off. In Co. Springs you will probably have a higher density altitude. I would consult with the turbine guys in the Pikes Peak club..

I forgot to mention I flew my 1st Ziroli Panther with a Ram 500. 12 lbs of thrust. I couldn't tell the difference between the Ziroli and the PST with the Wren SS wit hover 15 lbs. Both flew at about the same speed . I think there is just so much drag with that airframe it will only go so fast.

I got one of the first white jelcoat fiberglass fuses With wood kit

It's the next plane in my build. I still need to order the balsa and get tthe retracts

I plan on using a 21 pound thrust p80 that I already have sitting around

Its going to be a lot of work

I've had one here at altitude in CO. Used a JC Rabbit. Worked well and flew it scale. They have a wing waggle when slow but pretty docile airplane. Easy to see in the air and not too fast.
